These terms and conditions specifically refer to the purchase of volumes of publications from Waterways Ireland for resale. To view

These terms and conditions govern the use of www.shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop (referred to as "the shop"), as provided by Waterways Ireland (referred to as "we" or "us"), by the user (referred to as "you"). By using the shop, you acknowledge and signify that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not accept and agree to these terms and conditions, you may not use the shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop.

1) The Vendor

a) The vendor of these items is Waterways Ireland, Marketing & Communications Division, Somerview House, Old Dublin Rd,
Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim. Tel no +353 (0)71 96 50787 or shop@waterwaysireland.org . If you wish to contact the
organisation about the web shop, for orders or other queries please email the above address.

The office is open Mon-Thurs 09.15-17.30 and Friday 09.15-17.15 and is closed for lunch from 12.45-14.00hrs.

2) To Purchase

a) Existing Wholesale Account holders with Waterways Ireland If you are an existing wholesale account holder with Waterways Ireland contact the shop@waterwaysireland.com quoting WHOLESALE ACCOUNT in the subject line and providing your details to receive an email with your online account number.

i) Upon receipt of the account number, you will be able to set-up an account on the Waterways Ireland webshop, and choose a password. Entering your account number will enable you access wholesale prices for orders, place orders and be invoiced. Invoices must be settled within 30 days. Invoices not settled within 30 days will automatically freeze the online and offline account and no orders will be accepted until the invoice is paid. It will also be possible to pay the order online with a credit/debit card.

b) New Wholesale Accounts
i) Waterways Ireland welcomes new wholesale accounts and offers wholesale rates to customers buying for resale.
ii) To apply please provide, business name, address, contact name and contact details to shop@waterwaysireland.com
quoting NEW WHOLESALE ACCOUNT in the subject line to be considered for an online account.

iii) Waterways Ireland is unable to offer credit to new wholesale accounts at present, so advance payment by credit or debit card will be required.

iv) Upon receipt of the account number, you will be able to set-up an account on the Waterways Ireland webshop, and choose a password. Entering your account number will enable you access wholesale prices for orders, place orders and pay.

3) Your account

By opening a wholesale account you may place an order in the webshop.

4) To Order

a) open your account by inserting your email address, the password you previously selected and the account number you have been provided.
b) select your items, giving your shipping address, phone number (to facilitate delivery) credit/debit card details (if pre-payment is required) and pressing confirm. Before you press confirm you will be able to check your order to verify that you are happy to go ahead. You will be able to print out your
confirmed order and you will be sent an email confirmation of receipt of the order.
c) Each time you return, you will be required to enter your email address, a password you have selected and your account
number.
d) You will be able to view your purchases within the past 12 months, create and amend your wish list, make data protection choices, receive occasional information about new items being added to the shop and information about Waterways Ireland events and activities.
e) If you are unable to remember your password, you will be prompted by the system.
f) If you are unable to remember your account number, please contact shop@waterwaysireland.org . You will be required to answer a security question.

5) Delivery

Waterways Ireland does not charge for delivery.
Waterways Ireland agrees to deliver your order within 28 days. In most cases, orders will be dispatched within 24 hours. To query your delivery contact shop@waterwaysireland.org

6) Availability of Goods

If items are not available you will be informed as soon as possible and will be refunded within 30 days

7) Prices

Current prices were issued on 31 January 2010 and will be reviewed again in January 2011.

8) Payments

Waterways Irelands have a formal arrangement with a secure third party site [Realex Payments]. At the payment
stage of the process you are invisibly transferred to Realex Payment secure website where you must enter your credit card number, billing address, and expiration date to secure payment. Realex Payments uses a secure server. The secure server layer (SSL) encrypts all information you input. The security of this procedure is such that Waterways Irelands are not given access to your credit card information. We are simply instructed by Realex Payments that the credit card has been authorised. Realex Payments are not permitted to use your information for any other purposes than to secure payment for your purchase from us. You may from time to time choose not to use our third party secure site and may send us your credit card details directly.
While we cannot be responsible for the manner in which you transmit this information, we can assure you that this information shall not be stored by Waterways Ireland but by Realex Payments. Access to this information shall be strictly limited to authorised personnel and shall not be transmitted or divulged to any third party.

9) To Cancel and To Return an Item/s

Waterways Ireland endeavours to ensure that the condition of every item listed on the shop is as described in the listings. Should you wish to, you are entitled to return your item to Waterways Ireland within 7 days of receiving your goods.
Please contact shop@waterwaysireland.org before returning the item to receive a restocking code and return address.

Changing your mind

Please note that if you have changed your mind about purchasing the item, you must pay the return postage to Waterways Ireland.
The cost of the item will be refunded with 30 days. Damaged or Not What You Ordered If the item was damaged in delivery or is not what you ordered, the
price of the item plus the cost of the return postage will be refunded to you.
All returned goods must be returned in re-saleable condition with the delivery note enclosed. Refunds will take place within 30 days.
By purchasing from Waterways Ireland, you agree that a full refund with paid shipping will be your sole and exclusive remedy for any item you receive that is not as described on the shopwaterwaysireland.org site, and you waive all other remedies or actions in such event. This does not affect your statutory rights.

10) Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We may, at our discretion, change, supplement or amend these Terms and Conditions as they relate to your use of the shop for any reason, and without any prior notice or liability to you or any other person, by posting the modified Terms and Conditions on the shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop. You may not change,
supplement, or amend these Terms and Conditions in any manner. Each time you use the shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop, you acknowledge and signify that you have understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as they then read.

11) Your account with Waterways Ireland

You may not transfer your account to another person, share it with anyone, or use it to impersonate anyone. You agree that you will provide us with accurate account information (your real name, valid e-mail and delivery addresses, and accurate, non-fraudulent payment information). We may terminate your
account if we are unable to verify or authenticate the information you provide to us. Accounts may only be created by individuals who are able to enter into legally binding and enforceable contracts.

12) Permission to use the shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop.

Users of the sites must comply with all applicable laws. Persons in jurisdictions may not use the sites where access to or use of the sites or any part of them may be illegal or prohibited. If you breach any provision of these Terms and Conditions, you may no longer use the shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop. We may, at our discretion, refuse permission to access and use of the shop.
The shop is made available to you for your lawful, use only. You may access and browse the shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop only using commercially available, SSL enabled Web browser software. You may print or download the pages of the shopwaterwaysireland.org web sites for your personal, non-
commercial use, provided that you do not modify any of the pages or other content and you do not remove or alter any visible or non-visible identification, marks, notices, or disclaimers.

13) Disclaimer

With the exception for the returns policy described previously, Waterways Ireland provides the shop and its contents on an "as is" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to these sites or their operation, contents, or the items sold on the sites. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy of information, Waterways Ireland disclaims any and all representations and warranties, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose to the full extent permitted by applicable law. Furthermore, Waterways Ireland does not warrant that information available on this site is accurate, current, or complete.
You are solely responsible for the security of all of the data contained on your computer system prior to accessing or using the shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop. Waterways Ireland will not under any circumstances be liable to you or any other person for any loss of use, loss of production, loss of income
or profits (anticipated or otherwise), loss of markets, economic loss, special, indirect or consequential loss or damage or punitive damages, whether in contract, tort or under any other theory of law or equity, arising from, connected with, or relating to the use of the sites by you or any other person. The warranty disclaimer and liability exclusion and limitation clauses survive indefinitely after the termination of this Agreement.

The shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop is not intended to be a comprehensive or detailed statement concerning the matters addressed; professional or expert advice or recommendations; or an offer or recommendation to sell or buy any book or other item, product or service.

15) Confirmation of Communication with Waterways Ireland
Communications sent to Waterways Ireland by means of the shopwaterwaysireland.org web shop or email are not considered delivered or effective unless and until they are actually received and processed by a responsible representative from Waterways Ireland

16) Copyright Infringement
Waterways Ireland make every effort to ensure that all necessary permissions have been obtained for material reproduced on the shop. You may report any claims or concerns (including copyright infringement claims)
regarding the sites or their content by sending an email to

links to, other web sites or businesses operated by other
persons. These sites and businesses are independent from
Waterways Ireland, and Waterways Ireland has no responsibility

convenience. Waterways Ireland does not sponsor or endorse
any business other than those belonging to Waterways Ireland.
The use of other sites is at the risk of the user and you shall not
make any claim against Waterways Ireland arising out of your
use of any other sites.

You agree that you will not use any robot, spider, other
automatic device, or any manual process to monitor, copy,
modify, distribute, or publish any web pages within the sites or
the content contained thereon without our prior written consent.
You also agree that you will not frame any portion of the

The scraping or data mining of the shopwaterwaysireland.org

Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity and

construed to be a consent to or waiver of a continuing breach or
any other breach of these Terms and Conditions by that party.
No consent or waiver will be effective unless in writing and
signed by both parties.
You expressly request and require that these Terms and
Conditions be drawn up in the English language.
Any rights not expressly granted in these Terms and Conditions
are reserved to Waterways Ireland.
